Here at Brix City you could say we are in love with the coconut. We wanted the chance to showcase our love for coconut with no frills… so we brewed a beer to reflect that. Coconut Connection is a NE style DIPA extensively Triple Dry Hopped (as much hops as our TIPAs) with Citra+Mosaic before being conditioned on absurd amount of Organic Shaved Coconut for a truly addictive tropical liquid experience. No lactose in this one.
Notes of cold pressed coconut, juicy tangerines, blueberries, and mixed tropical fruits. Reminiscent of Bluewater Breeze cocktails on a warm summer day!

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy brownish yellow in color. It poured with a finger high white head that left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass, a narrow collar around the edge, a large patch of bubbles covering the surface, and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of coconut are present in the nose along with hints of citrusy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, but the coconut flavors aren't nearly quite as prominent because there are stronger underlying notes of tangerine from the hops. There is a light amount of bitterness towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: If you're someone who likes coconuts, you'll probably enjoy this IPA because both the smell and taste are packed with aromas and flavors of them.

Finger worth of eggshell white foam, dimpled surface, leaves long if thin lacing streaks behind. Entirely opaque and beyond hazy into puree territory. The coconut scents are upfront and in no way shy, tangerine spritz, offers an underlying dankness, comes as described, hard to distinguish any particular fruit scents, just a whole lot of coconut. Full-bodied if not heavy, the carbonation earns its keep trying to churn things up off the palate. Here the herbaceous dankness can challenge the coconut and they both wins rounds in the fight. The orange citrus notes paired with pine and tea leaf. Still hard to suss out particular fruit flavors albeit it tastes “fruity” enough. Sure it’s a one trick pony but it’s a nice trick.
