Drawn from a tap, it arrived in a full clear pint glass. It's color is dark apricot-amber and it's opaque. Along with it came a very nice soft off-white head. Although not aromatic, traces of pine and citrus notes can be smelled. The mouthfeel is as soft as its head looks. It's substantial and super smooth. No doubt there's plenty of oats and likely some wheat contributing here. That likely explains the diminished aroma. Although oats often soften and muddle the hop bite, this has some piney and resinous character, with a little citrusy zip added. Bearing witness to its wonderful body, there's superb stratified lacing of the glass. Most modern American IPAs sacrifice some taste to reach this level of smoothness, but not this one. This is a very successful collaboration.
