Pours a brilliant golden yellow with a huge, rocky, long lasting white head. The aroma is sweet, straw, and grain; slightly fruity. The initial flavor is sweet grains and fruit; it switches to straw, and finishes clean and dry. Medium mouthfeel and easy drinking.

On-tap @ The River of Beer in Bloomingdale, NJ.
Served in a plastic pint cup while enjoying an outdoor lunch along the river with a couple of coworkers.
Darker than expected, with the color being deep gold approaching light amber. Soft white head with decent retention.
Grainy malt aroma and flavor. Not getting that subtle fruit aroma like a traditional Kölsch would have. Malt is a little bit heavy in the flavor, not as delicate as others in the style. Light spice in the flavor at the end.
Medium-light bodied and smooth. Leans towards a dry finish. Not a bad beer by any means, but a little one note. Not as soft and crisp as most in the Kölsch style but the foundation is there and ready to be improved upon.
