Our rich, luscious, Imperial Stout base aged 6 months in hand-selected, freshly emptied, Bourbon Barrels from A. Smith Bowman Distillery and conditioned on pounds of rich Cacao Nibs, Vanilla, and even more creamy Peanut Butter. Building off of our popular Peanut Butter variant from last year, this new 2022 variant exhibits big notes reminiscent of melted Reese's Peanut Butter Cups mixed with dark chocolates, caramel, charred oak, and hints of vanilla bean.

2022. Poured into a stout glass. It pours a deep mahogany with a half finger of creamy, light mocha-colored head and thin sheen of lacing. The smell is highly fragrant with fresh peanut butter, vanilla, caramel, and milk chocolate. The taste opens with caramel and peanut butter sweetness but quickly segues to bakers chocolate, burnt coffee grounds, and nutty char. It finishes with pronounced bitterness. The bourbon is noticeable but delicate and it compliments the other flavors without distraction. The mouth feel is on the thin side with appropriate carbonation, and it drinks big at 10% ABV. Overall, this Silk City variant makes very effective use of the peanuts. They're ever-present but don't overwhelm. Brix City displayed a deft touch with this Stout.
