33cl bottle, 3m past bb. Forgot this from my beer tastings.
Hazy golden, sticky lacy foam that does not overstay its welcome.
Drive-by is tropical fruits...papaya? Honey melon? Hmm..mango?.. Nose confirms mango. Some herbal/grassy notes.
Taste is nothing like a hefe. I marked this as such as that is where the brewery wants to position this according to marketing material. In truth this is a NEIPA where it does not matter if it is 50% wheat or not as the yeast is clearly neutral. No clove, banana or other hefe key markers. So why the marketing?
This is aromatic enough even at this age, and the underlying beer is nicely balanced, not heavy, with counterbalancing sweetness. Yes, you can make a a NEIPA from a weizen, but it feels like nothi g much
