Poured from fridge temp. Pours jet black with almost no carbonation. Nose is scotch and dark fruit, with a lot of chocolate. Also some maraschino cherries. Taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, bitterness, and lots of dark fruit. Alcohol is evident, and the bitterness is a bit off-putting. However, it's a great beer overall. Mouthfeel is a bit thinner than expected, but good.
