Attractive ruby crimson color doesn't yield any head beyond 1/12" . Aroma was malt, grains, sweetness.

Taste was a hot rubbing alcohol experience over some brown and red malts. Thin. Bitter, copper penny mouthfeel.

Good artwork, below average beer lacking in every department but water.

Well its definitely red. Not much head to it, but a pretty hue for sure. Aroma was largely malt forward, residual sweetness.

Taste, unadventurous, somewhat smooth, seems like the alcohol is too noticeable, bitterness in something like this has to be a flaw. Metallic flavor in a red isn't cool. Beer comes off as a little thicker only because of its viscosity and lack of carbonation downbottle, isn't really offering any textual heft to it.

Kind of an artwork beer more than anything.

From notes at Old Chicago (2002): For a proclaimed red ale, this one poured dark brown and slightly hazy with orangey highlights and a small beigey head. Aroma predominantly of sweet dark malts, molasses and a hint of fruit. Flavor is also malty with prunes, alfalfa and herby notes with an astringent finish. Light to medium body and slight carbonation. Nothing special.

Pours amber with a thin white head. Red fruit, molasses, and malt in the aroma. Kind of a candy-fake aroma rather than the real deal. Caramel malt, rasberry, and veggies in the taste. Flat, lifeless mouthfeel. Cool name, lame beer. Not like Dixie products are the pinnacle, but this is embarassing

A: Poured a bright crimson red color with a thin, sparse light tan, bubbly head. Visible carbonation was soft.

S: a nice sweet maltiness with some dry pine hopping, and light dry roasted caramel.

T: The initial flavor had a nice sweet maltiness up front as the aroma followed by a dry toasted caramel malting and fruitiness (berries). There was a light tart berry fade on the finish.

M: light, thin with a flat carbonation.

D: A sweet drinking beer which may limit multiples or enjoyment for people who don't like big fruity drinks.
