Pours a hazed honey gold color with a thumb of fast-falling ivory colored head. Some lacing & head retention
S: Faint breadyness. grassiness
T: Plenty of peach, a little mango & lemon grass up front, some dryness as well. Grassyness, lime, & strawberry as this warms. Finishes a little dry with lime & green melon
MF Medium body, restrained carbonation
Drinks easy, not a bad take on the style, doesn't peter out like a lot do

Voodoo Queen has a thick, off-white head, a hazy, gold appearance, with lots of cream-colored yeast chunks. The aroma is of some fruit, Belgian-style yeast, and bread. The flavor is similar, with building bitterness. It has a medium mouthfeel, and Voodoo Queen has a mostly dry finish.

I like the beer, but I don’t think it is really a NE IPA. I found it more malty than hoppy.

12 fl oz can from Dixie's 2020 variety box/12-pack:
6.8% ABV.
Probably Dixie's best beer, but that isn't saying a lot. The hop profile is admittedly lackluster (especially in the 2020 market for IPAs) but it's a decent beer that drinks easy and doesn't cost a lot.
