Taster at Tandem taproom. Color changes from medium gold at the bottom to a medium amber near the top, capped with a nice creamy head. Light bready, malty aroma. Taste features a more robust maltiness, some nice citrusy notes, and a sustained gentle bitterness through, orange peel. This fits with the malty ales I had in that part of OR-WA. Smooth and creamy.

Hazy amber with one finger of cream color head.
Smell is bread crust malts with herbal hops.
Taste is leather herbal hops with a strong malt backing. Well balanced and good for the style.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is lightly dry and bitter.
Overall a pleasant and easy drinking beer. Well done Ordnance!

Beautiful dark amber color with long-lasting, sticky foam in the little nonic. Aroma is flowery with a clean, vegetal nose. Appealing nutty taste with a hint of pecan. Rich and malty with roasted grain, until the sharp hop bitterness takes over. A bit gummy, leafy, and resiny. Nothing fruity about it.
Moderate bitter aftertaste that grows as you sip. A touch of walnut shells. Overall a very pleasant and drinkable brew that's a different sort of style. This is from the 22 oz bottle, which has migrated north to Safeway in Anacortes, Wash.

Nice Hoppy but weak taste. This seemed to be lacking aroma and taste. This is a new brewery that has a refreshing beer that is needs some improvement before I try it again.

Intrigued by the label claim of "English Style IPA". Rare for a west coast State brewery to go against IPA hoppiness trend. Really enjoyed the balance this beer offers. Hops are restrained and malts are delicious. Has a slightly 'dirty' rye-like flavor - really enjoy that aspect of this brew. Could pass for an ESB, I suppose. First beer I've had from this North Central Oregon brewery. 22 oz. at $4.39 at Grocery Outlet in La Pine, Oregon (this is Deschutes County's southernmost town and, with Grocery Outlet, it has ARRIVED in regard to beer selection). Kudos to ORDNANCE for going against the grain (no pun).

22 oz bottle bought from Roth’s West Salem store..Salem OR $4.99 Amber/orange coloured ale with a nice thick ,creamy off white head...very persistent! The hops are surely PNW..by the aroma.sweet, spicy and orange zest. Not getting any English malts on the nose. More balanced in the taste and there is the slightest glimmer of that English malts. Its certainly balanced for the alc content though. Mouth feel is good for style thick but uncomplicated. An OK beer from a brewer that is taking off in Oregon
