Pours clear and fireweed honey colored, with a massive sudsy head. Aroma is sweet, but mild and floral. Flavor is really sweet, then cringingly bitter, although not really that bitter in a vacuum. It's just the effect it has coming off the syrupy sweetness of the opening salvo of flavor. It's not a bad flavor per se, if it wasn't so sweet I think it'd be a pretty good brew. But as it sits, it's like drinking corn syrup and chasing it with hops pellet, so it sort of misses the mark. Mouthfeel isn't inherently bad, but again, the slickness is kind of offputting when combined with the sweetness.

Clear dark butterscotch color with plenty of foam in the Stella goblet. This is the craziest weird and woody taste. Cedar with tangerine peel and fermenting pineapple. Imagine a hop-flavored Pop Tart.

Sweet and then bitter and leafy/herbal beyond belief. But not much actual aroma, just the fruit hose up your nose. Quite alcoholic tasting, like some pirates' tipple from Trader Vic's. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Malt & Vine in Redmond, Wash.

Clear golden orange with three fingers of bone color head that lasts a long time. Rings of lace show s the head drops.
Smell is sweet malts with a bit some floral hops.
Taste is sweet malts with a balanced amount of earthy fruity hops.
Mouthfeel is medium to full with a good carbonation level. Finish is medium dry and bitter sweet.
Alcohol is felt but not much in the taste. Overall a big beer that could use a bit more hop character. But that being said I don't know how old this beer might be.
