done with sabro hops this year, this is enormously impressive and delicious, and i find myself crushing through a pint way too quickly for something this strong and limited, i should be sipping and savoring, but its so good i cant set my glass down! a little haze to this light orange or rust colored beer, but its more of a chill haze look than an intentionally cloudy east coast appearance, big white airy head from the tap. smells and tastes amazing, and i am starting to be a huge fan of sabro, even though it still seems like a hop we dont see around all that much, this is one of the first wet hop beers i have had with it! its a cool one, starts with a little herbal spiciness where the freshness is obvious, the plant matter part is there, but its neither vegetal or harsh, and it moves quickly to a citra-esque meyer lemon complexion, before adding in notes of lemongrass, papaya, and really heady weed, even a little coconut liqueur or something, of all things. the nose and the flavor mirror one another well, there really isnt any bitterness here, and the linger on the tongue is awesome, it keeps changing and flashing in new nuance after the swallow, more tangerine and grapefruit zest and even lime there. the body is medium and a lot of it seems to have to do with the oily feel of the wet hops in here, the grain itself seems relatively light, especially considering this is sort of on the higher end of the abv spectrum for the style. overall just a gorgeous beer, a cool expression of sabro hops, and something i would go out of my way to drink again!
