Artistry & Alchemy is a luscious Imperial Stout brewed with copious amounts of dark Vermont maple syrup, oatmeal, and a plethora of roasted malts. Velvety, warming, and luscious. Complexity will develop with age.

Short pour at South Philly taproom. Almost black with a tight beige head. Sweet aroma, light maple. Taste brings chocolate, roast, coffee and light sweetness from the maple.

10oz pour at sabatinis in Exeter pa this morning.
Looks really nice in the small goblet. Black body with a tan head which persists throughout leaving some decent lacing.
There is an aroma of raisin, and it's quite boozy
The raisin doesn't come through in the taste, but the booziness certainly does. It's quite smooth. The issue here is that no other flavors or feels come through, including the syrup, so it's a bit one dimensional.
Mouth approaches full, finish is boozy.
All in all, not a bad drink, but perhaps a booze bomb was not the best choice for a lunchtime tipple.

2015 vintage keg poured into house glass at bar+bottle. Brown hue on the color but, mostly black. Tan head. Smells beautiful. Taste is wonderful. What is interesting about this beer is the mouthfeel. It's not thick and I appreciate it for the flavors coming through. Maple and darker malts appear to be highlighted without a foamy mouthfeel. Reminiscent of old world style of dark beers. I can say this beer is somewhat like "Comfort Food" in beverage form.

First had 3/5/16 at Stars of craft beer fest. Sole has become super desirable around the Lehigh Valley and Eastern PA, but this beer just isn't as flavorful as their other beers. Almost no smell. Tastes of roasted malts and maple syrup, but not strong enough to make it stand out.

I really enjoyed this stout, I tried it on tap at Susquehanna Brewing in the tasting room poured chilled in a glass on tap.
The color is appropriate black shade with light tan head with very fine bead. The smell is cocoa and roast from the malt with low alcohol in the smell with light nutty scent. The feel is very good -excellent with smooth roast and light sweetness a mild alcohol presence with a mostly dry finish.
The taste is great a nice malt profile with roast and cocoa in the malt as in the nose yet some mild maple-flavor in the back with light sweetness and gentle alcohol with nutty dry woody finish. Overall this is a pretty easy drinking stout for the abv, very good Imperial American stout it seems like the maple adds a dryness which I like.
