GOOD GOOD is our wonderfully hazed out new-school Double IPA. Pale yellow, with a cloudy head that leaves creamy lacing. The mouthfeel is pillowy and resinous with a soft lingering bitterness. Big fruity punches of citrus, peach, and pineapple play with pings and pangs of spruce sap, spearmint, hemp, and heady dankness. The finish is straight hop resin that lingers long after each sip.

This calls itself " A hazed out New School Dbl IPA Dank & Resinous".
I know dank and resinous and well, I don't find it in my beer. Not this one either.
Looks great - yellow-amber in color, not very hazed out at all I can even see through it - which is a good thing - who wants beer that looks like pudding?? Not anyone over 12 that I know. I mean... 21.
Nice tight white head and spatters of lacy cling.
Not very dank in the nose - very beer like and little citrus compared to other "hazy" type IPAs. There is some lemony aroma but I get toasted malt and grain and a light white sugar note.
The flavor is terrific - full of ale-fruity good goodness. I get the resinous thing now - nearly full bodied but from firm malt body not "juicy" hops or wheat and oat starch. Very tasty toasted oats with mild caramel blends with herbal and coniferous hop spice in delicious harmony.
Not chokingly bitter but still solidly hopped to be a real IPA and not so jacked up with citrusy flavor hops to be mistaken for breakfast juice. Highly quaff-able yet still a sipper 'cuz it's a bit heavy but all the easier to enjoy the complex flavor profile.
* The 8% hides well in this one so expect it to creep up and remind you at some point.

Rating to described style.

Described as a “ wonderfully hazed out new-school Double IPA”.

Ummm, no. Not hazy. Not new school. More in the vein of midwest dipa circa 2014ish. Neither juicy nor very aromatic, but the ibus are there pushing it far away from a haze bro beer. Not a bad thing, necessarily. Just don’t call it a haze bro beer on the can.

So, rated to self proclaimed style.

Deep head of over two fingers, eggshell white with a pocked surface, retention slightly below average, lacing wispy at best. Barest filminess to the liquid, transparent on the whole, zinc to rust orange with a few lazy bubbles visible. Citrusy nose with a palpable malt component, cocoa, challah bread, malted milk balls even, there is a steady dankness but it lacks oomph, some saline comes out as it warms, basic papaya, nectarine, peach scents. Medium and close to full-bodied, likely due to the somewhat sluggish carbonation, no real pickle until you swallow. The malt recedes some from the spotlight so the herbal matter, dried pine sap, tea leaf come to the fore. At times has a mineral water bitterness to accompany the lean orange, lemon citrus element. Here too the fruit seems attenuated, orchard pit fruit but no real tropical sweetness. Sat with it meditatively for a good while but it never really developed into something different than the initial impression. (Canned 6/26/20)

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed light golden pour with big fluffy white head. Solid ring of lacing.

S: Citrus and fruit... pineapple, peach, and mango.

T.F: Just like it smells. Light grain bill with some crackery malts followed by grapefruit and citrus. Fairly dank... some tea and pepper. Smooth mouthfeel... well carbonated. Sticky and oily on the tongue. It has some heft at 8% but not overly boozy.

O: A well above average DIPA. Not my favorite from Separtist but worth checking out.

Almost opaque, a slightly darker hazy than I am used to.
Lime, resin, alcohol on the nose.
Taste grapefruit rind, a little bit of burnt sugar.
Feel is light-medium carbonation.
Overall - solid.

Canned 3/16/20 - Drank 5/27/20.

Short pour at Passyunk taproom. Bright golden, spotty head. Malty aroma leads into a fruity taste, a mix of stone fruit, tropical and citrus, melon. Bitterness comes in hard and stays.
