Traded for this a while ago but not quite sure when, as there wasn't a date printed on the can. This had an interesting array of flavors but tasted too much like a sugar cookie for me! It's not that I don't like those as much as this beer was just a bit too sweet for my tastes, even though it went down relatively easily.
Not a bad pour to this as the beer had a hazy apricot hue to it, with plenty of lively foam on top that held it's own. Tons of thick, webbed lacing was left behind on my pint glass as the head never fully went away! Full of soap and lemon, this beer smelled and tasted like something I'd used to clean my wood furniture with. Tangerine juice, honey slickness, and cream round out the palate but never did I feel that this had enough hops or heft to it. It was the equivalent of a summer night watching the ice cream truck coming down the street and watching the sunset while being too lazy to do much of anything else!
There was enough alcohol here but it wasn't a deterrent to the beer's sweetly odd profile. The mouthfeel was slightly dry and there wasn't much of any carbonation to scrub anything away either, as a slight grassy feeling was what was ultimately left behind once the liquid went down. Worth a go once, preferably with some orange creamsicles on an endless evening. This was certainly not a typical American Double / Imperial IPA!

First had 10/8/16 at Strange Brew in Allentown. This was a birthday beer for me. Sole essentially created a new beer style, call it India Cream Ale. Strong juicy hop profile, with a smooth creaminess. Hazy appearance and tropical smell.

Deep apricot hue, tall white head and nice sheets of lacing. Huge citrus soaked aroma. Notes of orange, grapefruit, citrus peel, honey, and dank hop. Creamy, soft edges, floods the pallete, finishes clean and slightly dry. Not sure why this isn't getting more love, not the feel I expect from an IPA but the flavor and aromas pull me in for more.
