Traded for this a while ago, as the writing on the bottom of the can was a bit blurred but seemed to have "16" on it at the end of the writing. Yes, this probably turned into a malt bomb on me but regardless, this beer was just a bit too one-dimensional for me to rate any higher. This was pretty tasty, easy to quaff, and light when it came to it's heft, but had there been a bit more flavor and body to it, this could have been a great beer!

The pour to this was decent as the liquid had a muted goldenrod hue to it with plenty of head to top it off. A good amount of soapy lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this, with the thick ring around the collar standing out after my first few sips. Tons of melon, cantaloupe, peach, and guava in the nose as the taste had all of those notes magnified to a very large extent. Some honeydew, stone fruit pith, cracker malt, and onion came through in the taste but if you think that array of flavors was odd, then you'd be on the money! I never fully acclimated to this beer even as it warmed up and I wasn't sure if it was because it featured one hop, was old, or just didn't have enough going for it from the get go. A sense of crabgrass and urine took hold in the aftertaste as that stuck with me more than anything else once this fully went down...

The amount of alcohol in this was plentiful but never felt strong as the flavors were more than enough to drown that out. If you like your beers dank mysterious, and skunky, then look no further. Like so much that I have in my stash, a fresh can would have been preferable but that probably would not have been enough to win me over to this. Worth a go once if you like Mosaic or long for the days of Sole. As for me, one go-around was all I needed of this...

I had this on draught at Søle's Bar+Bottle location in Easton, PA. 12 oz. pour served in a stemless glass. It pours an opaque, dirty gold color with a foamy, bright white head and soapy lacing. The nose features lemon, grapefruit, pine needles, and floral Mosaic hops. It's super dank and the taste opens with a touch of melon and onion followed by tart lemon peel and grapefruit, grass, cracker, and a hint of lactose. Then, there's a wash of bitter Mosaic hops that bite hard. It leaves a decidedly bitter aftertaste. The flavors blend really well. The mouth feel is thick and creamy with lively carbonation and the 7.5% ABV provides a nice pop without distracting from the great taste. Overall, this ale is nicely crafted and bursts with flavor. Any fan of Mosaic hops will enjoy it. It's just a pleasure to drink.

Poured into a 13 oz Tired Hands Teku glass canned on 11/13/17. Pours a very hazy bright yellow, with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thin wisps of lace, with nice retention.

Smell is guava, passion fruit, mellon, pineapple, and some grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tropical all the way with a little bitterness in the balanced finish, really nice.

Mouthfeel is a solid sticky medium, fairly carbonated, juicy not dry, and excellent drinkability at 7.5% ABV.

Overall this is a very nice NEIPA, a juice bomb that is almost impossible to sip. Thanks jzeilinger for this one.

Poured as a hazy yellow color with a soapy white head on top. The smell of the beer has a nice citrusy lemon-like grapefruit aroma with a dank quality in there too. The taste of the beer has a nice citrus flavor with a touch of oniony resin in the finish. The feel is pretty smooth. Overall it's a good brew, I really enjoyed it.
