$24 for a 4 pack with a 93 rating AND from a PA brewery? Must be awesome - Sign me up!

Spoiler alert... this was very disappointing. Faint orange juice aromas, followed by Chemical acidity in the flavor and a lingering bitter aftertaste.

I could’ve had 9 FMLs for the price of 4 of these. Ugh.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/11/2019. Pours very hazy medium golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy pineapples, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of pineapples, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, vanilla, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy pineapples, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy pineapples, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of pineapples, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, vanilla, and bready malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly sticky/tangy/resinous mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited milkshake DIPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of pineapples, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, vanilla, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/drying finish; fantastic soft/silky feel. Fantastic Mosaic/Centennial profile. Extremely juicy hops/fruit, with light dankness; with a nice sized lactose and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

L: A light apricot gold with a stark white head fading to a sparse cap and wide ring with webs and webs of lacing.

S: Floral notes dominate. Pineapple plays second fiddle.

T: Fluffy pineapple - decent but blandish and muted overall.

F: Smooth fluffy juice - off-dry with medium weight and biting carbonation.

O: A good IPA, but with today's fierce competition this left me wanting.

Not a bad imperial IPA but I feel a little let down since it was supposed to be amazingly smooth and creamy and flavorful. Canned date 11/11/19. Pours a clear golden color with a little fluffy white head and some spotty lingering lacing. No haziness. Smells of ripe pineapple, grapefruit, melon, mango and tangerine. Also some malt, creamy vanilla and floral hops. Taste follows the nose, fairly decently balanced and a little hoppy bite at the end but not particularly juicy. Smooth mild mouthfeel and good carbonation. A fine beer, just didn’t knock my socks off like I had expected based on other ratings.

This is a solid, sturdy brew. I love the feel more than anything, and who can go wrong with a Milkshake IPA? Pineapple notes are subtle. You can drink this with most meals, at most times of the day. Not 6am, unless you're at the airport. Solid beer.

Pours a pale Amber with an off white head that leaves a delicious trail of lace.

Citrus, pine, flower, and tropical fruit in the nose with a slight hint of malt.

Taste is big pineapple balanced by a slight biscuit malt, with notes of star fruit, pine , and citrus. It has a very creamy mouthfeel.

I had this on draught at Søle's Bar+Bottle location in Easton, PA. 12 oz. pour served in a stemless glass. It pours a cloudy honey orange with a full finger of bright white head and creamy lacing that lasted through the pour. The nose includes lactose, pineapple, grapefruit, pine needles, and floral hops. The taste opens with delicious pineapple puree, sweet lactose, lemon. Both the smell and taste of the pineapple accentuates as the glass warms. The Mosaic and Centennial hops are flavorful but delicate. There's no bite to them. They just blend with the tropical fruit. This ale reminds me of a tropical drink at a resort. The mouth feel is amazing! Super plush and creamy with pleasant carbonation, and a punchy 7.8% ABV. This truly is a great DIPA and I look forward to the next time it's released in cans.
