Traded for this a while ago as this was canned on 2/9/17. I had no idea that Sole Artisan changed names but thankfully, this was able to stay timeless throughout as it was one of the better American Imperial IPA's that I've had as of late. If you like yours sweet, juicy, and full of fruit, then you've found a good match with this one!
Good pour to this as the liquid had a turbid and moderately bright apricot hue to it. Plenty of fluffy head topped it off as there was a decent amount of lacing present after the thin collar along the top of my pint glass. Tons of dank apricot and guava in the nose with some booze in the mix as well. Lots of sticky fruit, tropical hops, and lychee in the taste as this was quite juicy and smooth while being potent at the same time. A good nectar sweetness kept this as light as possible as the aftertaste was exotic and reminiscent of something that I'd have from Arizona Wilderness...
This certainly wasn't weak but for having 9.00% ABV, it went down about as easily as could be. A bit of tangerine creaminess with hints of vanilla was what I felt in the aftertaste, as that led me into the last sip and beyond. This held up well over the last few years and would be one of the first Separatist beers that I'd reach for if I saw it again. Well-crafted for an American Imperial IPA!

I dont know if I have the same beer as this one is Good Good but not 2.0 and I think the ABV is slightly lower.....This is from an August 2017 release at their new place in Easton
L-Light straw color......1 finger head with less than moderate retention......medium lacing that runs quickly down the side of glass.......white cap settles as the head fades
S-Refreshing tropical fruit hops......quite aromatic.......guava, passionfruit, mango, orange, lemon zest
T-Follows the nose........similar flavors as noted above......some piney hops matter during the finish, which is slightly bitter and dry........some floral notes
F-less than medium, juicy, crisp carbonation that provides a slight fizz
O-The best beer from a can that I have had from Sole so far

pineapple juice color, little head or carbonation. Murky in a bad way. Aroma is lots of citra / mosaic notes bringing wafts of pineapple, orange rind and wheatgrass. Bit of spurge alchohol in there too. Flavor is maltier than you might think, lots of crystal & wheat malt flavor, hop presence is pretty muted but mostly hop oil and dry cone, maybe a faint tropical note but it is pretty bland overall. There is little astringency underneath as well. A miss for sure.
