Evil Smoosh! On tap at Fountain Porter, South Philadelphia. It looks nice, juicy and hazy.

Smells like bubblegum, marshmallow, candy and funnel fries on the Jersey boardwalk on a balmy late summer night.

But after that, forget about it. That bubblegum-and-boardwalk smell doesn't translate to the flavor. It is not appealing, not tasty, not drinkable.

I think Sole is mighty overrated, and this milkshake mess proves my point further.

Pours an unclear orange, with very little foam.

Smell is tropical and a bit sweet. Lots of berries and fruit.

Taste is where it gets weird. It looks and smells like a NE style IPA, but the taste is mostly sweet-sour with very little bitterness. Aftertaste of lime peel. Not sure if this bottle was OK.

Mouthfeel is soft and smooth, pretty under carbonated.

Overall, I dont know if there was something wrong with this bottle, because taste was wildly different from the smell, and style. Couldn't finish my half of the bomber, neither could my friend.

Really hazy peach color, head fizzes away quickly. Brett like fruity aroma with fruit yogurt notes, bubblegum, cotton candy. Taste is a bit tart at first but follows with sweet fruits and some dank hops in the background. Fizzy mouthfeel. Not bad but kind of sweet and artificial.

Canned 2/27/17; drank 4/14/17 @ Harvest Hop Haus.

Opaque light orange appearance.

Minimal off-white head; decent lace.

Rhubarb, strawberry, vanilla & sweet sugar notes in the nose.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Rhubarb, strawberry & cane sugar flavors; odd but drinkable. Not one I'll seek out again though...

Nice looking unfiltered color, but after the initial hit of carbonation, looks too much like flat papaya juice. The strawberry and the rhubarb both dominate the nose. Taste as advertised - strawberry, rhubarb, and a hint of sugary cream at the end - would like a bit more of the latter. Not much of a bitter hop at the end. The slight tartness of the rhubarb brings out an interesting experience. The milk sugar at the end really makes it taste like juice. Light carbonation takes away from the mouth feel. No hit of alcohol whatsoever.

Overall, this is different, tasty, and fun, but not an everyday beer for me. Props to Sole and ET for pushing the envelop and trying new things. Hard core traditional IPA lovers might want to go running in the other direction, but for those who are interested in a brew that pushes the limits of the style -- pick up a can.

On tap at Fourth St BBQ in Charleroi PA poured into a pint glass:

Look: Pours an amazing hazy cloudy orange with a slight pink tone to it. Little to no lacing present but who cares with the color this thing poured.

Smell: Strawberry and rhubarb forward with some citrus and pine thrown in! Crazy good aroma!

Taste: Taste is very similar to the nose. Great notes of strawberry and rhubarb present. I still get the IPA feel with some citrus, pine, and hops present. Great take on a milkshake here!

Feel: Medium bodied!

Overall: Mighty fine milkshake IPA from Sole and Evil Twin! Glad I was able to find this on tap close to my house! I hope these guys get together and do other collabs in the future! I would revisit this take as well!
