At least, it does have a beer aroma, straight from cracking open a pint can and pouring the contents into a clear glass liter mug. Light amber and as clear as any beer you can find, this can't be considered a pretty beer, but it does bring a solid and enduring head and some lacing. The beer aroma isn't pungent, but there's enough to alert the beer senses. Smooth, light to the palate, mildly and not deeply bitter, this is quite an ordinary beer drinking experience. That doesn't make it bad, but neither is it memorable. Somehow, a little smoother than an ordinary mass produced commercial lager, there's not a major difference in taste, nor mouthfeel. Maybe it's a little softer. This is an OK refresher, but nothing you'd want to brag about in a beer drinkers locker room.

ABV was upped to 5.0 on latest batch. Nice, easily drinkable cream ale. Not the best but enjoyable.

I continue my search for a great cream ale, this isn’t bad but it ain’t great...
I’ve found a couple of good ones, but I guess I’ve been expecting (for a long time) to find more. This, while solids enough, just isn’t what I was hoping for. Anyway, it’s a decent beer, muted in smell and taste as it is, but still enjoyable.

Bright white head, very deep on the pour with poor retention. The liquid is an equally bright yellow straw, immaculate with an active swirl of bubbles visible. Grainy nose, something like corn syrup then honey, malt and a whiff of cucumber, the somewhat simple apricot, peach scents trot along quietly. Light-bodied, fresh and crisp with a mild carbonated prickle as it hits the tongue. Creamier finish. Quinine, more unprocessed grains, light floral waft. Same toned down fruit presence. Minerally residue. Solid summer drinker, the proverbial “mowing the lawn” beer. (Canned 4/21/20)

I like the classy looking diner style logo font on the can, it suits this style of beer quite well. The pour is golden yellow. The taste is grains, sweet corn, & a mild cream soda note towards the finish. This is one of the best cream ales that I've had to date although this is a style that I do not come across very often, oh well this is a good change up for me from the lagers & IPA's that I usually consume when I drink beer. If you want to try a cream ale but you're somewhat hesitant do yourself a favor & crack open a can of Classic Cream from the Separatist Beer Project & thank me later. Cheers! B
