This Smoothie IPA is hopped and dry-hopped with an embarrassing amount of Mosaic and Centennial hops, then conditioned on lactose, vanilla bean and of course loads of Mango.

Pours a modest finger’s worth of eggshell white foam, surface pocked by an array of larger bubbles, below average retention and no lacing. Gauzy orange amber liquid, translucent, few visible bubbles. Soft nose, slowly expands with the mango in the forefront, tropical without the bite, lime, pineapple as well, the vanilla bean addition at times gives it a “creamsicle” character, lightly herbaceous in the background, pleasing to draw in deeply. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation prickle during the mouth entry, gone thereafter. Here the mango is more woven into the whole, sufficient sourness to bring the tangerine to lime citrus and that pineapple, papaya to the fore too. Still, sweet on the whole. No discernible dankness, maybe a few notes of pine. Easygoing and packed with flavor, albeit you have to like mango. Couldn’t really consume more than one can in a sitting, it would be a good candidate for a dessert beer served with sponge cake or the like. (Canned 6/30/20)

Sometimes I’m leery when I buy a beer like this because there’s too much stuff going on, its too artificial, or it just doesn’t deliver so here go:
A golden-orange color. Some head but it dissipates fast and a small amount of lacing. It smells pretty good, like mango, and hops and a little malt peeking through. The taste is also pretty heavy mango like a bunch of puree was dumped in but it’s a natural flavor. Some hops and malt and it has nice balance. It reminds me a little of the Aprihop from Dogfishhead with the smoothness, balance, and fruit flavor, and that’s not a bad thing since I love and miss that beer.
