A collaboration brew from Cowtown's Citizen Brewing Company.
Appearance - Pours a hazy copper gold with four fingers of frothy white head that leaves some puffy lace on the glass.
Smell - roasted smoked malts, coffee bean, vanilla bean, earthy and leafy hops, cocoa, and earthy yeast.
Taste - roasted smoked malts and bitter coffee bean upfront. The vanilla bean, earthy and leafy hops come through next. The brew is finished off by the earthy yeast.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes silky smooth with the roasted smoked malts and coffee bean lingering.
Overall - A bold and flavourful collaboration brew. I like how the smoked malts don't dominate the brew. Rather, they help to bring out the coffee bean, vanilla bean, and all other elements of the style.
