Pours slightly hazy with a reasonable head on top. A bit sour on the nose. The taste keeps the sourness, adds some bitterness and a bit of citrus. Perhaps some mint, or other botanical.

Clear pale straw color. Poured a thin head of mixed bubble sizes, which took a couple of minutes to drop down to a thin skiff across the surface. Left a few patches of lacing. Almost no bubbles rising; only found one point where bubbles were forming on the side of the glass.

Sweet minty scent with a hint of barnyard. Swirling the glass kicked up a bit more barnyard and a dried grassy straw scent to join the mint. Interesting mix of scents, but seems more like a herb tea than ale.

Mix of mint and black tea. The mint is surprisingly dominant. Some mild bitters emerge from the black tea flavor. A mild malt slowly comes out as the beer warms up. The aftertaste pops a sweet mint for a few seconds and then gets replaced by black tea and bitters.

Very little carbonation, so it turns into a limp, coarse bubble foam for a few seconds. Medium-light body.

I was not expecting all the mint, but this is well within style range. The bitters build over time, which makes the black tea flavor pop a bit more. Interesting.
