Clear dark amber color. Poured a tall head that was a pale tan. The head turned into larger bubbles and then collapsed to about 1/3 the height after a couple of minutes. Light flow of mixed small and medium sized bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Left fine lines of lacing.
Dominant scents are a blend of medium roasted malt with grain husks and a light barnyard. Swirling the glass kicked up a bit more barnyard and maybe a touch of vegetal hops.
The flavor starts with a moderate bitter and some vegetal hops with just a touch of barnyard. Then the malt shows up just as the bitters increase. The vegetal hops increase a bit as it warms up. The aftertaste is starts off with bitters and the hops, and then the barnyard kicks up.
Some tongue tingling. Medium body with a slightly oily feeling.
Much milder bitters than most IPAs. Much lighter flavor than most as well. The barnyard is on the edge of being too much; it could be dialed back a bit.

This one tasted better than it looked or smelled.
Nice color-- mid amber range-- with lots of frothy white head.
Not much in the way of hop aroma, but big hop flavor and bitterness, with a smooth and sweeter finish. Definitely worth having another some day.

Dirty hops, caramel notes, a citrusey bite. It just has a certain malt flavor that makes me cringe. Hopefully Russell's other beers are better.

Solid IPA from the craft haven on the west coast of Canada. Clean and refreshing taste, lots of citrus and pine notes. Lower on the perceived IBU scale so it doesn't leave you reaching for water. Very drinkable.

Pours a bright Amber orange with beige head that lingers and leaves lacing.
Nose has hints of lemony citrus, malt, and an earthy undertone.
Taste is smooth, not very bitter, and as someone already mentioned a very "tea" like taste and mouthfeel
I've really liked what I've had from Russell so far. However this one is average for me.

Too malty, for my tastes, especially for an IPA.
