It was the year 1995, "Gangsta Paradise" was bumpin in the clubs, the New Jersey Devils were a good hockey team, the movie Clueless had everyone saying "what ever" and of course Russell Brewing was established. We have come a long way from that first brew of Cream Ale and it's time to celebrate with all of you who have supported us along the way. This Session IPA should do the trick, dry hopped with Mosaic and Sabro with notes of coconut and mango, lets raise a can and cheers to an amazing 25 years!

Hazy tan color. Poured a medium sized head that quickly collapsed into larger bubbles and then to a skiff after another minute. High flow of tiny sized bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Left a few lines of lacing.
An even blend of hops, light malt, yeasty funk, and barnyard. Swirling the glass kicked up a stonger barnyard and a stronger vegetal hop smell.
Slightly sweet, slightly tart. Mild malt with a stronger hop overlay. The hops are mostly vegetal, but there is also a light floral. Medium-light bitters. Some yeasty funk. The aftertaste starts out with a quick tart burst that is lightly citrus. Then some bitters pick up that taste more like a citrus pith. A bit of the yeast funk, not quite barnyard, fills out the rest as the flavors slowly fade away.
Some tongue tingling as it expands to a coarse foam. Medium body. Slightly oily feel. Some astringency with the aftertaste.
Interesting flavor for something calling itself a "light beer" on the label. The bitterness is surprisingly mild given the level of flavor from the hops. I would try to reduce the barnyard, but it is still within my tolerance.
