A beer fit for fuzzy little squirrels and humans alike, although please don’t give this to the squirrels, who knows what they are capable of once a buzz sets in. Liquid Chocolate, milk sugar and hazelnuts blend together to create this sweet candy bar like milk stout.

Opaque dark brown-black color. Pours a short tan colored head that collapsed to a patchy skiff in a minute. Too dark to see the carbonation level. Left no lacing.
Strong sweet hot chocolate smell with slightly scalded milk (skin on the top). Strong hazelnut smell. Very light malt which reminds me of those chocolate covered malt eggs. There is also something that smells very fresh, sort of like super clean water if water had a smell. I can't really place it at all. Swirling the glass kicked up a light barnyard that disappeared in a second. There was also something minty that disappeared after a few seconds.
Strong chocolate flavor that is edging towards coffee. The chocolate gets stronger and sweeter as it warms up. Lighter hazelnut flavor. Small amount of malt rounds it off. Sometimes I can taste a little soap. The aftertaste slowly rolls off the chocolate and boosting the hazelnut. It also starts to taste a little bitter.
Very low carbonation. This hardly foams up more than a few large bubbles. It feels a bit oily and smooth.
Lives up to the name.

Appearance - Pours a dark chestnut brown with two fingers of blush chestnut head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, and floral hops, hazelnut, cocoa, roasted grainy malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. The hazelnut and cocoa come through next. The roasted grainy malts and earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the hazelnut, cocoa, and roasted malts lingering.
Overall - A well rendered milk stout that delivers on the chocolate and hazelnut. Worth squirrelling a few and enjoying them.

Russell Brewing 'Chocolate Hazelnut Milk Stout' @ 5.5% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is cola brown from the can to near black in the glass with a smallish tan head leaving a fine spotty lace along the tulip
S-sweet chocolate , some hazelnut
T-chocolate dominates , some hazelnut appears in the swallow
MF-mild carbonation , medium body
Ov-glad I could buy as a single can
