Appearance: It has a nice hazy orangy/amber color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately and leaves very little lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of berries, mango, piney resins, grassy hops and some wine-like notes as it warms.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has some berries upfront with piney resins, some mango, grassy/earthy hops, bready yeast and some wheat malts.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a very nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with great flavors and aromas.

A: Cloudy copper pour topped with a tight white froth of 2 fingered head. Plenty of lazy streams of carbonation drifting calmly up to met the surface.

S: Sweet off the top with fruity notes mixed with sweet florals. Fruit notes suggestive of chardonnay, white grapes & tart berries. Plenty of carmel and maltiness that balance out the sweet tart scent.

T: Smooth malty sweetness with gassy notes,& bready yeasts. Hops show through on the the mid palate and are quickly balanced with big smooth malts. Earthy & tartness of berries,

M: Gently buzz of carbonation and full body with some warming heat from the alcohol.
Has a good strong hold on the palate and lingers on showing allowing the hops to shine through.

O: Incredible balance of hops and malts with sweetness and tangy. Try drinking this as it warms, the berries begin to shine through as the drink comes to room temp, developing the dynamic experience, hops, malts, sweetness, berries, yeastiness and grassy notes are all present and yet distinct.
...the booze is a sneaky 10% - a great sipper to slowly enjoy.

Truth Serum pours a cloudy light copper with a thin head that doesn't linger. The aroma is sweet and fruity, not sure if it is esters from the yeast or the black currant character from the Strisselspalt hops. Estery sweetness pops up first in the flavor, with some toasted bread maltiness. I'm not sure whether the fruitiness is coming form the yeast, malt or the hops, but I'm not really digging the combo. Theres an odd slightly tart and almost sour flavor in the finish, with a low to moderate bitterness for the strength of the beer.

I was excited to see a wheat wine from BC, but this one falls short in my opinion. There is a lot of interesting stuff going on, but it's not melding well together. On the plus side, the alcohol is well hidden, so it lives up to it's name.

A: Hazy with an orange hue, very little retention, no lacing.

S: Very wine-line aroma, chardonnay? Pappaya, mango, steelie earthiness.

T: Very resiny, papaya, black berries, goose berry, some mango & grainy biscuit, hints of steelie earth, good bitterness, alcohol is subtle.

M: Moderate to full body has a hint of acidity and a nice, crisp finish.

O: Very well-balanced, extremely easy drinker for this strength.

Appearance. Truth Serum pours a very hazy, gold/light-brown with a finger of thick cream coloured head.

Smell. Fruit blossoms and field berries, brown sugar, piney hops and caramel.

Taste. Again some brown sugar, smooth malted wheat, bitter grassy and floral hops with a little bit of pine and some dark berries and booze.

Mouthfeel. Full body with medium-low carbonation.

Overall. A nice big wheatwine. The hops are pretty big and I imagine this beer will improve overall once they fade a little over time.

A: 1/4" cream coloured head over cloudy amber liquid.

S: Blueberries, grass, and pears.

T: Sweet and bitter flavours of bitter apple, biscuit, blueberries, blackcurrant, pears, green grapes, and grass.

M: Thick viscosity and a medium to low level of carbonation. Some drying from the alcohol.

O: Fantastic. At 70 IBUs this is easily the most aggressively hopped wheatwine I have tried. Get your paws on this easy drinker if you can.
