Lost Rhino Retreat

Our group stopped here to try their beers and to have dinner. The pub is located in a 'newish' cluster mall shopping area. The interior has a large dining area that is separate from the bar space. It looks like an additional bar is situated upstairs above the main floor bar. The dining room has a 2-story ceiling that gives the feeling of bigness, but the wall decorations, a couple racks of oak barrels, some pub tables and stuffed chairs give a warming vibe to the place. There is also outdoor seating available in front of the pub.

There were 12 beers on tap (plus 3 guest taps) so we chose a sampler flight of 5 to try to evaluate this brewery's beers. All of the beers were brewed correctly to style, and each had characteristics that exceeded style so that we gave them an overall grade of B-minus. None were put into an exceptional category, but we felt that the Flanders Red and the Mango & Lime Gose were notable.

The food was very good, and we all enjoyed what we had ordered. Growlers are available as well as bottles and 6-pack cans of some of the beers. Someday we'll come back here and try some of the other beers. This brewpub is very worthy of a visit.
