Billed as a red ale but poured a black body with minimal head and lace ring. The malt presence, especially the roasted portion, are also the dominant factor in the aroma as it is mostly malts with minimal citric hops. The beer itself is medium bodied, smooth, has minor citric hoppiness underneath a great maltiness (more roasted than sweet) and is worth trying.
