330ml bottle handed to me by a fellow named Neven at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.
Best before December 31st 2021.
It pours a pitch black with an inch of tan foam, lacing is above average.
Rich roasted malt nose with a healthy barrel aged aroma. Some vanilla and a pleasant smell of the roasted bitterness. Coffee and dark chocolate round things out.
Roasted malt, flavours from the barrel, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, lovely level of bitterness for the style. Ample alcohol is hidden well. Just a slight burn after the swallow. Really tasty and smooth.
Feels full bodied to me with an ideal amount of carbonation.
