I had high hopes for this special Canada 150 beer. Mt. Begbie has been one of my long running favorites. This beer, however, misses the mark for me. The maple is cloying and does not add balance to the overall package. It's like they poured maple syrup into Begbie Cream Ale and hoped for the best.
