The buzz is genuine about this beer! Attila the Honey is a rich amber ale with distinctive malty characteristics followed closely by the light lingering taste of rich clover honey. It truly is the 'ultimate' summer beer.

A- Pours a rich dark copper color that is very clear and with an initial head that is about 2 fingers thick but settles to a ring around the glass. It appears to have a mild carbonation about it and the lacing, while thick, doesn't stick to the glass.
S- There is a combination of earthy sweet malts, leafy dark crystallized honey and a floral aroma about it. There is a mildly rich hop aroma towards the end that just helps balance out the overall profile.
T- There is a combination of malty sweetness, caramelized heavy honey from the bottom of the barrel, toffee, bittersweet chocolates and earthy overtones. Hop profile is muted at the end, but rather balanced and makes me want to have another taste. The alcohol is very well hidden and there is a nice and simple yeasty quality as well.
M/O- This is a smooth, creamy mouthfeel that is medium bodied and very desert like, but not overly sweet....just the right essence in both aromas and flavors of rich dark honey. It is so good with an extra dark French chocolate...I dare anyone to try this...it really pulls the honey and desert like qualities out of this ale! Highly recommended!

There are a lot of honey beers in BC, but this is the first one we've had that is both a tasty beer and cleverly spotlights the honey. It pours a surprisingly rich copper/amber colour, and there's very little honey aroma on the nose. There are plenty of round, caramely malt notes. Almost like a bock. First taste reminds me of a festbock, or Oktoberfest. The malt notes are lovely and the honey adds just a suggestion of sweetness. A little nuttiness and earthiness in there, too. Just enough bitterness on the finish.

Appearance- Pours a clear amber red with a half a finger width of bubbly head.
Smell- Caramel, honey, hint of vanilla.
Taste- Malts and grains with a touch of caramel and honey sweetness. Finishes with a slight tartness.
Mouthfeel- Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A tad watery but refreshing.
Overall- An enjoyable honey ale by Mt. Begbie. This beer has nice warm flavours and welcoming aromas. Worth a try if you stumble across it.

Amber red appearance with thick white head that slowly settles down leaving good lacing. Smell consists of honey, brown sugar, caramel and a hint of fruit.
Taste is similar to the smell, mainly honey, brown sugar, malt and caramel. Picked up some hops and bread, has an earthy bitterness to it as well. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Aftertaste is dry with a lingering honey taste.
Overall, impressive honey beer. It's balanced, tasty and drinkable. Nothing that blows you away but good to chug a few on a patio. Decently priced to.

This beer was little bit sweet for my taste but, overall, it wasn't too shabby. I'd buy it again, as a change of pace. I like the label and the name, a lot, not that that should be the main reason to purchase anything.
Appearance was nice and red, which somewhat surprised me since the label (its only downfall) merely says "beer" rather than any other descriptor, such as: lager, ale, or red ale.
Not much aroma for me.
Taste was sweet, as mentioned, with some hop balance, and a honey-like taste at the finish.
Mouthfeel was fine, as was the carbonation and head levels.
