Mt. Begbie Brewing's original signature beer, brewed first in 1996. Begbie Cream Ale is a fruity ale with a subtle honey flavour. A delicious, golden ale, delicately fruity, with a subtle honey flavour that finishes with a crisp hop edge.

Mt. Begbie Brewing 'Cream Ale' @ 4.7% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $4.60
A-pour is a light gold from the bottle to a clear gold in the glass with a small beige head leaving a streaky lace along the pint
S-mild smelling ,
T-crisp & somewhat clean tasting
MF-ok/lots of carbonation , medium body
Ov-ok beer with no wow factor

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a thin white head that dissipate to patches. Aroma of sweet lager malt, mildly bready, hint of light stone fruit. Flavor follows aroma, with sweet bready malt, light stone fruit; leaning towards apricot, light honey. Finishes with light sweet malt with just a hint of hops. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A very nicely made cream ale, and like the other good representatives of the style leaves you wondering if this was what adjunct lagers were meant to be. Nothing really stands out here, but that is fitting for the style. Light, flavorful and easy drinking. Well done. I'm not a big cream ale fan, but this exceeded my expectations.
