1/2 grower filled at the source 2 days ago.
Pours heavily clouded. Lighter shade of dull brown. Minor lite khaki head departs quickly and leaves some bits of lace and small fields of sheeting behind.
Interesting nose of some medicinal Belgian yeast esters, lite milk chocolate and earthy grains.
More of the same on the palate, smooth, earthy, yeasty, nutty, toffee, gingerbread and more chocolate. Quite pleasing and easy drinking. Tastes more a yeasty spiced brown ale, then a "dubbel" but tasty stuff nonetheless and happy to try and rate my first beer from this new LI brewery....I'll be back for more...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
