Pours a clear, rich amber, no visible carbonation; 2" light tan head with retention and very light lacing. Nose is dark fruit, spiced and lightly floral hop; as it warms a bit more dark fruit comes out. Taste has a decent balance of floral, almost mentholated hops with bready, rye sweetness. Finishes with more spice. Mouthfeel is rather soft with light, full carbonation. Don't love the feel of this one, but it's nicely spiced.

A: The beer is crystal clear orange amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head that left a thin collar around the edge and some specks of bubbles clinging to the slides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose along with notes of floral and spicy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the malty flavors are a touch stronger and the hops also impart a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and seems to be more hop-forward compared to others in the style.

L: Deep and clear burgundy copper hue with a finger and a half head tapering off quickly to a partial cap climbing the glass with a mottled beige lace.
S: Oddly fruity and jammy. Oddly in a disjointed bad way. Sourish on the nose.
T: Sweet but powerfully medicinal. I do not like it.
F: Proper feel - medium heavy body. Impressively heavy for the ABV. Strangely heavy. Average carbonation and creamy - the mouthfeel definitely not the problem.
O: I always though Märzen was a safe style were it is hard to screw up. I think this one branched out too far and the branch broke.
