This drinkable IPA uses several varieties of hops to keep you wanting more but also keep you standing. The great hop flavour and aroma are balanced by biscuity malt sweetness. This combination is the true IPA lover’s dream. Sessionable without compromising complexity.

Unlike most other reviewers, some that I even regularly use as reference, I quite like this offering. Definitely an IPA in my opinion. Maybe it has to do with the freshness of the product? Not sure. Drank out of a 355ml can. Tasted very fresh to me. Lots of hop bitterness and spicyness. Almost no citrus and tropical fruits but loads of pines and needles. Maybe somewhat of an older/English style IPA? Very well balanced. I will buy it again.

Look: Clear red-straw color. The head breaks down into large bubbles after a minute and leaves some lacing on the glass. Mix of large and small bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass.
Smell: Mix of yeast and grassy or vegetable hops scent. Swirling the glass kicks up bread and a light barnyard smell.
Taste: Medium-strong bitters with a vegetable flavor base. The bitters dominate the aftertaste.
Feel: Quickly foams up into medium size bubbles. Tickles the tongue a little bit.
Overall: A pretty average IPA. Nothing really stands out. This is not overly bitter, but also doesn't make use of any hop florals. Pretty color though.

650ml bottle - a nice ode to the growing platform for the hops that went into this purported session IPA, eh?
This beer pours a clear, bright medium copper amber colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some layered mountaintop vista lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.
It smells of rather toasty and crackery pale malt, a twinge of yeast, faint generic citrus rind, and some heady (but not quite dank) pine needle astringency. The taste is biscuity and grainy pale malt, a touch of caramel sweetness, ethereal citrus zest, and more robust leafy, floral and piney green hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its supportive and sometimes tickling frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, with a minor airy creaminess seeping in once things warm up a bit. It finishes fairly dry, the toasted and biscuity nature of the malt calling the shots.
Overall, this is a pleasant enough pale ale, in that it isn't an IPA - the hops just don't bring it, leaving the malt to come front and center on my palate, essentially unchallenged. Not a bad brew, but let's stop kidding ourselves here - what's wrong with calling a spade a spade?
