I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a straight-sided glass.
Appearance: a nice, rich dark brown with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam. Quite good.
Smell: very grainy with a little bit of toastiness and a very little bit of caramel. A bit on the dry side, but not bad.
Taste: the flavor tracks the aroma a lot; it's grainy with a little bit of caramel and a moderate sweetness. Pretty well balanced.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and an enjoyable creaminess. I like it.
Overall: a good beer, but a bit on the dry side for me for a schwarzbier.
