Quite hazy grayish yellow brew with plenty of foam in the Kasteel chalice. Quite sharp and distinctly in the acidic New England style. Interesting aroma of what people describe as passion fruit, along with papaya and lime peel. Flavors of orange and grapefruit peel.
Hops are listed as Southern Passion with Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo Cryo. All, unfortunately, subdued by the astringent and harsh mouthfeel. The lips get some malty orange sweetness and the back of the throat gets whipped by blackberry brambles and citrus pith. From the 16 oz can purchased at Central Market.
