This is described as the Imperial version of the Helles Lager. It's actually an extremely tasty and drinkable German-insired brew. The sweet and malty Vienna-style Lager taste is amped up but not overly full of esters and odd flavors. Moderately sweet with a roasted grain taste. Modest bitter edge.
Lovely clear golden brew with plenty of foam in the big chalice. Here's a version of the Bock family that would be worth more experimentation in these hop-overdose days. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 05/04/22.
