Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. This is a collaboration between Lucky Envelope and Ladd & Lass. It's a "milk stout brewed with White Rabbit vanilla candies", brewed for the new year.
Appearance: very dark brown body, nearly black, with two thick fingers of frothy tan foam atop. Beautiful!
Smell: very sweet and vanilla-ey, with some hints of chocolate in the background. I like it well enough, but the candy is almost too-much to the forefront here.
Taste: like the aroma, quite sweet, with plenty of the vanilla candy flavor. There's some more chocolatey-malty flavor here than in the aroma, and I feel like it works a bit better than in the aroma.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's on the sweet side for me, but hey, this is a sweet stout after all. I mean, the label clearly states it's brewed with candy, so I really can't complain about that. Overall it's very tasty, though perhaps too sweet for me to have another.
