The Yinz Jawn Lager is our take on the American amber Lager, brewed with Weyermann malt, corn, and hopped with German Mittelfruh and Saphir as a nod to our Pennsylvania Dutch roots. Yinz thirsty? Grab some of this jawn!

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 3/19/24.
Appearance: lovely amber color with a totally clear body and a thin layer of slightly amberish ivory foam atop. Looks pretty great!
Smell: definitely a little corn aroma, as would be appropriate based on the description, along with a bit of yeastiness and a lightly toasty malt. The combination of aromas gives the beer an interesting nuttiness; not normally my thing, but I like it here.
Taste: kind of a sweet corn thing going on, but without some of the more bizarre off flavors that can sometimes accompany some adjuncts. Ok, as I sip more, there’s definitely a corn pops thing going on, but honestly? I’m kind of liking it in this application.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this type of thing would not normally be my style, but the corn adds an interesting sweetness and the beer is not at all biscuity, which can sometimes be the case in this style. Good stuff!
