Poured from 16oz can into an IPA glass. Canned 1/21/25.
Appearance: pale amber-pink hue with a moderate haze and a big head of frothy pinkish foam. Looks the part!
Smell: the pomegranate and hibiscus both come through for me, along wiht just a hint of tartness. I think maybe some of the finer points of a “hazy pale” are lost here, but there’s a soft undercurrent that overall works quite well.
Taste: again, more like a chill fruit beer than like a pale ale. The tartness from the aroma basically isn’t here at all, and I think that’s a good thing; there’s a real berry-like quality here with the fruit and hibiscus that works quite well.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I like this beer! I think maybe people looking for a pale ale might want to look elsewhere, but if “pomegranate hibiscus” sounds like it would appeal to you, then this beer just might!
