Rindby 14/7 2020. 33 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. A bit flashy version of Tre Fontane’s usual design with a big gold star in the middle.
Pours murky, dirty amber with a big, fluffy white head. Settles as 1 cm thick, uneven and lumpy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong malty sweetness and rich, dry citric notes. Herbal odors. Caramel and toffee. Citrus, resin and lime.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily and lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate rough, dry bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Finish is bone-dry.
A bit unorthodox with a colab beer between an Italian and a North American Trappist breweries. I thought the point was that the beer was brewed by the monks inside the Monastery. Not the recipe of many social events.

BB 03/21.
Amber, 1-2f head with some slight haze. Has a medium-high carbonation.
Aroma/Taste: Orange, citrus, herbal, spices, peppermint? S
tringent bitterness, with some sweetness mixed in, especially in the finish.
Somewhat watery.
Preferred the Sinergia 21 one.
