Always a pleasure to taste the unusual beers of Oshlag and Les coureurs des Boires
500ml Bottle. A dark brown liquid with ruby reflections with an ephemeral foam.
On the nose, the roasted cereals, as the label describes so well; The pumpernickel bread, light caramel, light fruity reminiscent of dried dark fruit.
In the mouth, the bubbles are soft, a sweet bread sweetened with dried grapes, similar to the nose.
I really enjoyed tasting it, but I had a little trouble finishing the bottom of my glass, maybe the beer got too hot by the time I finished it?

Bottle: Poured a clear brown color ale with a deep off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt with some pumpernickel notes also discernable. Taste is also dominated by roasted dry caramel malt notes with some pumpernickel bread notes and a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Very good drinkability and probably one of the best from this series.
