Veiled dark copper color with low activity. Soft creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, shy legs but good lacing and decent swirl reaction. Flavors of wood, dark berries, figs, caramel, vanilla, molasses, rye, and herbal hops (nugget). Slick and oily medium body with light carbonation. Strong strength finish, estery and thick maillard toffee feel. A bit sweeter than bitter but with quality fruity sugars making a slight sourness. Having decent freshness, the alcohol is well hidden yet still highly warming. Very nice complexity and balance. It does have an English feel to it. Overall excellent quality craft.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention with some light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some fruity notes and light residual sugar notes is quite awesome. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with light fruity undertones, some toffee with light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable barleywine that drinks really well.

A: Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a tan colored head. Retention is pretty good as well as lacing. Head looks kind of creamy.
S: This is definitely on the English barleywine side of things. There are quite a bit of caramel, brown sugar, raisins and plums as you'd expect. But, there is a little bit of lactose like tones in there as well as some fresh hints of mint. Maybe a tiny bit of nutmeg too. Quite interesting.
T: Follows the nose really well. There is caramel. brown sugar, raisins and plums as any English barleywine. What is particularly cool about this one is the creamy/dairy flavor as well as fresh mint notes that are really original but fit with the rest of the brew quite well.
F: Lucious and smooth, without being too sticky. Perfect.
O: This is a really solid, original brew. I like it a lot. It's original without deviating from the style too much. Definitely worth looking out for.
