May 20th, 2015 - For a West Coast IPA this looks very much like a NE IPA, swirling with a thick, custardy body, and a muted aroma that is grassy and filled with bitter greens like dandelion. The flavor is more of the same, light and springy with more mizuna and bitter greens, with a slight twist of freshly squeezed orange juice and Meyer Lemon zest.

Dark orangey amber with a lovely pile of foam in the Piraat tulip. Pleasant sudsy sensation with a fizz that melts in your mouth. Quite aromatic with lime peel and a hint of apricot. Seems like the fruit juice style of IPA. A little woody with some papaya flavor. Warm and malty.
This is a thoroughly drinkable and tasty IPA that does credit to the enzymes Duck Foot is using. Maybe they will drive the chestnut and millet brewers out of business, as I don't see how that horrible stuff can compete with this. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.

Appearance: dark gold in color with a 1" head.
Smell: some hints of citrus and pine are picked up by the nose.
Taste: caramel, orange, lemon zest, a bit of piney tones, and a nice balancing bitterness make up a flavorful beer.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp at the start, less crisp and a touch dry at the finish.
Overall: a super easy to drink IPA that is refreshing and tastes good.

A surprise find in the Los Angeles Delta Terminal. Great start to my trip back to Maine!
