With a straight mahogany color, it boasts pasty caramels and a subtle biscuit taste with a subtle oatmeal cookie aftertaste. There are also some mild hops that weave within the malts that makes up the overall balanced flavor, while the mouthfeel is fantastically fitting for the style. This is like having a mild version of the Alley Cat from Lost Coast Brewing. How about renaming this beer the Alley Duck? Alley Goose? Alley Quacker? Whatever the case, this is a great beer along with the Brown Ale!
