August 27th, 2015 - When I see a Belgian Strong on tap, I beeline to it. Duck Foot had one and I was happy to dip my mustache into the foam. The Belgian yeasts have done their job, giving this a fresh and fruity aroma, and warmed, honeyed peaches. The body is a little lighter than I typically observe in this style, but frothy and well carbonated. The flavor is excellent, blending malt, caramel, toffee and a deep sweetness, and avoids becoming sweet and cloying. This is, I think, one of the better American origin BSAs I've had.

Strong and sweet. Beautiful red coppery color with a modest foam. Deeply malty with the dry Belgian finish. Candied apricot flavor. Pleasant fruity aroma. Interesting high-octane brew that is inspired with Belgian flavors, but more of a strong American Ale. On tap at the brewery.
