Appearance is light brown with plenty of white foam in the St. Bernardus globe. Malty body with a distinct spritz of carbonation. Aroma of undefined spice and something else really unusual. But definitely in the fruitcake ballpark. Brewer says this is made with 50 lbs of fresh dates with a little nutmeg spice.
Warm and malty with a little sweetness. But there's a bitter twang that is interesting, plus that crazy date aromatic fruitiness. This is pretty much in the Winter Warmer style, funny fruity taste and all. But it's quite sippable and not overly strong. From the 32 oz growler purchased at the brewery bar.
