Poured into my tulip glass a dark reddish-copper color. Very little head on pour which dissipates quickly, little if any lacing.
Aroma was predominately alcohol, with some yeasty esthers.
Nice nutty roasted flavor with dried fig. As the name implys, the fig flavor is reminiscent of jam. Alcohol burn is also present. Overall a nicely balanced quad which almost has a Belgiam type flavor.
Mouth feels is a little thin for a quad, which is a good thing in this case as this is a very drinkable ale.
This one will kick your butt!
