While the standard Green Flash is an IPA heavy playground for local bro's, bruh's and brah's, Cellar 3 shows that Green Flash has skill that goes beyond dumping hops into a tank.
Cellar 3's menu is dominated by sour fruity goodness and some dark, heavy juggernauts, most of which have spent time in a barrel. Great beer at a good price. Personally, this location outdoes the main GF tasting room as well; its quieter, less crowded and a little bit more a drive but well worth it.

Amazing beer list at reasonable prices. All kinds of unique barrel aged and sours. I was super excited... then I tasted their beers. They were all awful and infected. I get that these types of beers may be more difficult to make and what not, but, hey... maybe taste your beers before serving them to the public as rancid garbage? It's possible they could work this up and have a killer place, but for now it was terrible.

What a great place!! Started our San Diego "New Places" Beer safari with my son with a stop at the new GF Cellar 3 brewery/tasting room. Beautiful well crafted faciulity and grounds just inside Poway. It was a grooving vibe with many people chilin, laughin and sippin. Patty was running he tasting bar and was great for conversation and advice/descriptions. Selection of beers was amazing..so many tart brews and plenty of GF standards. Then throw in a solid handful of Alpine. Having chance to drink Silva Stout side by side with Silva Mostra coffee Collab stout was a joy. So fresh, so smooth, so good.
Outside Scott was running the food truck with a great eclectic menu. Great food and great presentation. Also fun to find out he was a transplant from one of my old home ports in SoCentral PA.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Even the gift shop had great guys who gave excellent recommendations on other breweries and beers to seek out.
Great addition to the San Diego beer scene. Highly recommended.

Visited on an early Sunday afternoon, along with Belching Beaver in Vista, this probably had the best atmosphere for an industrial brewery/brewpub setting due to its outdoor seating/layout along wih the permanentbfood truck that serves house made chips, cheese plates, charcuterie, and burgers, it was very laid back wih dogs and people just lounging on a lazy weekend afternoon with good weather
Beer was top notch, a lot of unique offerings only served here, lots of sours and barrel aged beers, service was great with friendly bartendera that gladly let you taste splashes and werw not pushy, sold growlers, tee shirts, and special Cellar 3 bottles to go
I loved the sour variants, especially blueberry and cranberry Morta, the fact that you can have Alpine Duet and Nelaon here on tap along with filling growlers of it is enough to get people to make the trek out to Poway, the foeders look great, place is immaculate and they did a lot with an otherwise boring standard industrial space, I look forward to going back, they also played great indie music including Lord Huron, Delta Spirit, Cold War Kids, and Spoon
